A number of factors contribute to the overall filming of the movie. But Pirates of the Caribbean is considered as one of those outclass works that was inspired by a ride at the amusement park. The first movie was released in 2003, based on the Disneyland ride with the same name which instantly turned into a hit! Five movies and eighteen years later, Pirates of the Caribbean has been found as one of the best “fantasy swashbuckler film franchises” that is made in the current era. Hence it becomes obligatory to watch Pirates of the Caribbean Movies in order.
The series of the movie originally has five films and altogether they have been serving as the greater part of Pirates of the Caribbean media franchise with every movie being a box office hit, making around $650 million individually while collectively $5 billion. All of the movies have received a highly positive response from the audience, specifically praised for the memorable sound score, visual effect and the exceptional performance by the cast.
Keeping in view the cast, even though every installment of the series has a new plot with new characters, a few of the main characters from the first movie repeated their roles in all of the sequels.
The Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, created under the guidance of Jerry Bruckheimer, stars a talented cast of actors, including Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, Geoffrey Rush as Hector Barbossa, and Kevin McNally as Joshamee Gibbs, who all appear in multiple films. In addition to these main characters, the five movies also showcase Orlando Bloom as William “Will” Turner, Keira Knightley as Elizabeth Swann, and Bill Nighy as Davy Jones, who appears in several of the films.
Out of all these notable names, Jack Sparrow, played by Depp, remains the most iconic and beloved figure, with his disheveled appearance, sharp and salty wit, fondness for rum, and propensity for attracting trouble. Regardless of one’s opinion of the actor, it is undeniable that Jack Sparrow has had a significant impact on popular culture.
As news circulates that a sixth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean series is currently in development, it evokes memories of the previous five movies and the exciting journeys of the seafaring characters. However, it can be a challenge to determine the proper sequence for watching the movies, or even if there is a specific order for viewing the five films and accompanying short featurettes in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
